Our Mission

Our Lady of the Heights

Our Lady of the Heights is a Catholic community. Empowered by the Holy Spirit—nourished by scripture and sacrament, we are called by Christ to become disciples and stewards. Through worship, fellowship, catechesis, and service to all God’s children, we embrace our Lord’s challenge to live as family and be his witnesses. 

Our Lady of the Heights is two Locations, one Parish. We are the consolidation of three Parishes in Chicago Heights. We have come together to worship and grow spiritually by sharing our unique cultures. Both sites are wheelchair accessible  
Welcome Father Misabet Garcia Gil

Hello everyone, my name is Fr. Misabet García Gil; I am from Cuernavaca Morelos Mexico. Before becoming a Priest; I studied and graduated as an industrial engineer. I worked for twenty years in different factories in Cuernavaca Morelos Mexico. I was ordained as a Priest in the Diocese of Chicago on May 19, 2018. 

During my five years as a priest, I have had the opportunity to serve in different Catholic Churches in the Diocese of Chicago. My first assignment as associate pastor was at St. Paul's in Chicago Heights. Truly, I am very happy and proud to belong to this Parish. God has planted his seed of faith in each one of you. My brothers and sisters, I am here to serve you in all that is offered to you. God bless you always.
